Getting Started with the Website
I am an existing customer of Avanti. How do I get set up with an online account?
Simple! Just click on the Login/Register button which is located at the top of every page. See ‘Already have a credit account?’ and click ‘Register’, then fill in your details on the online form and we will set you up with a password and login details. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. We will aim to come back to you the next working day to confirm your login details. We will choose a password for you to enable you to login for the first time but we recommend you change this to something memorable after your initial login. Once your account has been raised, you will have the option of paying on your credit account or alternatively using one of the payment methods listed.
I am new to Avanti. How do I get set up with an online account?
If you are a business – see ‘Want to open a credit account?’ and click ‘Apply’, then fill in your details on the online form to start the credit application process. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. It could take 7-10 days for approval but we will keep you updated as to what stage your application is at. If successful we will then confirm your login details and password. We will choose a password for you to enable you to login for the first time but we recommend you change this to something memorable after your initial login. Once your account has been raised, you will have the option of paying on your credit account or alternatively using one of the payment methods listed.
If you are not a business – we would still love to work with you, and you can add products to your basket in the normal way. When you come to checkout you can either register a new account so that you can login and your details will be saved next time, or you can checkout as a guest (in which case leave the section asking you to set up a password blank).
What payment methods do you take?
If you have a credit account with Avanti then there is a tick box at the Checkout stage to enable you to pay on account. Alternatively, if you would rather pay on placing your order, or if you do not have a credit account, we accept payments by Visa, Mastercard and PayPal (secured by Sage Pay). Your details are completely secure and we do NOT store your payment card details anywhere on our systems, for your peace of mind.
What features does the website offer?
As well as placing orders online our new website offers the following benefits:
- Place repeat orders (log in and ‘My Account’ will load on the left hand side – click ‘Display Orders’ to show all orders that are In Progress or Complete – click ‘View Order’ and you can Repeat Line or Repeat Order
- Place orders rapidly - by using the Repeat Line / Repeat Order function mentioned above OR by using the Favourites button located beneath every product to build a list of your commonly ordered items OR by using the Quick Order feature
- Download Safety Data Sheets for chemicals to assist you with COSHH compliance. Where available these are located in the Useful Downloads section in the main product page
- When logged in to your Account, you can download copy invoices and statements, view your account transactions and current balance as well as making payments online
- When logged in to your Account, you can view your Product History for the last 12 months so you can easily see the products that you are buying most regularly
- We will keep our Resources page updated with useful info on topics that may be relevant to your business
What about delivery charges?
Orders over £75 (excluding VAT) are free of charge. Below that a small order charge of £5.95 +VAT may apply.
How long until I receive my goods?
For stock items you can expect delivery within 48 hours (or sooner if you are in an area serviced by our own fleet). Delivery will be made either using our own vehicles or our designated parcel courier Parcelforce. Full pallet orders that are outside the area serviced by our own vehicles will be delivered by our designated pallet haulier Sureway. If any items are out of stock or special order we will let you know leadtime or details of an alternative product where preferred.
How will my goods be delivered?
We have our own fleet of vehicles which we use for local drops (within around 1.5 hours of Avanti HQ). If you are further afield then we may choose to use our designated courier Parcelforce (for box deliveries) or Sureway (for pallets). Where goods are sent using Parcelforce you will be sent a text giving a one hour delivery window.
Which areas do you deliver to?
We deliver to mainland UK.
The product I am looking for is not available online in the size/colour required.

I am an existing customer. A product which I usually purchase from Avanti is not listed on the website.
Please get in contact with us in the usual way and we will get the required product(s) added to the website for you. With so many thousands of products stocked we may have missed some when setting up the website catalogue.
The product I am looking for is not listed on your website.
One of the things that we feel sets us apart from our competitors and offers our customers an even better level of service is our willingness to source new items for our customers at their request. Contact us with your requirements and we will advise if we have a possible source, then let us do the hard work for you! I am an existing customer of Avanti and have recently been set up with an online account but I cannot see any of my Product History or Accounts info.
There will be a delay between us setting you up with an online account and all of your information pulling through to the website for you to access. An export runs every 2 hours and so it may take up to 2 hours for this information to be available for you.
I only wish to order 1 x 5L of a chemical but the website won’t let me.
For reasons of safe handling and transportation many of our chemicals stocked cannot be supplied as a part case. The system is therefore set up to only allow orders in full case quantities. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this but this is to ensure the safety of our employees and that of our couriers.
The Safety Data Sheet I need is missing.
Please contact us to obtain the Safety Data Sheet which you require. Some of our manufacturers have requested that we don’t make these available online on our website but we have them all on file and can send to you.
I am an account customer of Avanti. Where a product is available in different colours, why is it that my pricing when logged into my account is different for different colour options?
Certain products for instance clothing, gloves, footwear may be priced differently for different colour options. This price difference could also be attributed to the fact that you have sourced from us in the past the product in a certain colour, which means that your special pricing has pulled through to the website for this colour but not the other colours. Please contact the office and we can look into this for you.
I have forgotten my password.
No problem! There is an easy password retrieval process in place. Please click on the Login/Register button at the top of the screen and beneath the Login section click on 'Forgotten your password?'. Enter your email address and click 'Retrieve password'. Our website admim system will send you an email confirming your password (please note that Avanti employees cannot view customer passwords so we cannot advise you of your password over the phone for instance, you must submit your request in the way described above).
